Fragment of the Taoist Classic The Scripture of the Intelligent Treasure

translated by Zheng Zhen(郑震)

To observe the myriad things in the world with the eye of the One Mind, it is unnecessary to say that the myriad things are too excessive to handle; to interfere and disturb One Qi with the myriad things, don’t think that One Qi is insufficient to deal with the situation. To return One Qi to the source of One Mind, don’t allow your subjective mind be driven and wrested by objective objects; to give the running of One Qi full rein to One Mind, don’t enslave yourself by the variety of methods and laws. Clear the source of your mind to shed light on and penetrate and illuminate everything, realizing everything has no real existence; fight valiantly using your qi to contain all your body senses in One Breath, knowing there is no such thing as laws. Realize that everything is forever in the state of void and emptiness to restore its original mental image; know that every law is governed by No Law to fulfill the self obtained truth.
